Nepal Rugby Association

Nepal Rugby Association is the national governing body for rugby in Nepal, affiliated with Asia Rugby and World Rugby. The association organizes national leagues, selects national teams, and manages international tournament hosting for both men's and women's categories. With growing interest from corporate sponsors and international grant-making bodies, the association needed to modernize its financial governance to access larger funding.

First, it had no formal accounting system — tournament finances were tracked in notebooks, making it impossible to provide audited accounts to international sponsors. Second, sponsor management was ad hoc, with no formal agreements or reporting frameworks, causing two major sponsors to withdraw citing lack of transparency. Third, the association was at risk of losing a World Rugby development grant because it could not provide the required quarterly financial progress reports in the format specified by the grantor.

CCBC established a complete accounting infrastructure for Nepal Rugby Association using Tally, with separate ledgers for tournaments, sponsorship income, and grant funds. Formal sponsor agreements and quarterly reporting templates were created, restoring confidence with existing sponsors and enabling new sponsor acquisitions. Grant-specific financial reporting was set up to meet World Rugby's requirements, enabling the association to successfully retain and expand its development funding. All back-tax filings and annual compliance submissions were completed, restoring the association's legal standing with both the government and international sports bodies.
